Welcome

My highest priority is to build a community that we can all be proud of

I believe the role of an elected official is to serve his constituents in a spirit of common purpose and a focus on community needs. I am campaigning for Supervisor of Monterey County, District I. The election is on June 5, 2012. I want to serve you in a greater capacity to continue focusing on the issues that are important to you

"Politics are about special interests and gaining the upper hand. Seldom are they about fairness." - Salinas Californian Editorial Board (August 20, 2011)

My pledge to you as your Monterey County Supervisor is to assure that the quality of service is the best that can be offered.

I will promote positive outcomes with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for you and your family. In order to accomplish that I like to take on something measureable and focus on doing it. Let's take hold of something and build it, let's do it. It would be a privilege to have your vote.

As your neighborhood politician, I have advocated for public safety as a parent patrol, making sure children get to school safely. Clean neighborhoods give everyone a safer feeling of their surroundings, your family deserves that. So when your child leaves home on their way to school, they develop a positive attitude of themselves and their neighborhood. We need to take responsibility by keeping an eye out for each other and reporting any suspicious activity.

Also, just as important, investing in early childhood education. It has been proven that when a child knows how to read and write, they develop a positive image of themselves. It gives them a better opportunity to succeed in life and become law abiding citizens.

Parents play a key role when they are involved in their child's after school programs. Encouraging parents to get involved in the development of their children sometimes can be a struggle because of other responsibilities. I strongly believe that when mom and dad get involved in their childrens daily activities, they will grow up to be responsible teenagers
